Ephemeral by silverin87 Ephemeral by silverin87
A dissapearing act! a fleeting horse, got many names for it, but ephemeral was the real word that makes me imagine something like that

Stocks:

Patrick, the model, and jumping horse that helped with this:

For the "mohawk" of the horse, and the legs:

ooh, just one thing :( your motion blur on the front leg is going forward, not backward... :-s over all its nice though. :)

didn't want to look like a motion blur, just like a shining thingy. but it's a minimal detail, thanks for both comments, took a while to make it look like what you see :)

oh, and another thing, is you can do an outer glow on that, and then left click on the little fx symbol on your layer, and click on 'create layer' this will seperate your effects into its own layer, and then you can erase the parts you dont want to show :) also, a diffuse glow doesnt hurt either... but your horse is very glowing-like as it is... :)

nice trick! i didn't know that you can separate layer effects from the layer itself, thank you fur! =D
Sorry for beign negative, but i don't want to do nothing to this one, if i open it and start modifying, i'll end up with something really different, i'll try with some other work, don't get upset with me =)

yup yup! but once the effects layer (fx layer) is seperated, it acts as a indevidual layer again, so you wont be able to make adjustments to it.. found out about that little trick in a sticker tutorial here ~~~> [link]

often at times, the simple things look hard, and if it looks simple, it probably IS hard. this is one of those examples where the simple looks hard. on the other hand, making it look good DOES take skill. this looks good. :) nice one!

Wonderful image, wonderful title and wonderful idea :)

I can imagine a different edit of this of the horse dissipating into water, I'd have thought that would be rather difficult to do!

I love the regal glow that the horse has, there's something about white horses that makes me think royalty! The framing and composition is great :)

Good work,

Timmy

Amazing.. I'd love to see you do something like this maybe with an image of a bird or a phoenix more specifically.. with wings of flame and fire?
Just an idea... Keep up the brilliant work :D
